The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals are 17 interconnected global goals intended to serve as a roadmap to a better and more sustainable future for all. The United Nations General Assembly established the SDGs in 2015, to achieve them by 2030. SDG Youth Summit 2022 under the theme of “Leaving No Youth Behind: DECADE OF ACTION” is a timely initiative by 9 different youth organizations in Bangladesh. The Summit will serve as a forum for discussion and interpretation of what policies and activities can be implemented to improve youth development and long-term development.
On 21st May, the Orientation program was held by ‘The Earth’ which is one of the organizing partners of SDG Youth Summit-2022. The individual 9 youth organizations of Bangladesh are called SDG Youth Alliance. On the first day of the meeting, we made an effective discussion about the summit date and venue. We also created a draft schedule for the upcoming Summit as well.
This Summit will provide participants with an excellent opportunity to meet in various areas of youth during panel discussions and share thoughtful insights to raise the new generation’s thoughts for national and local development for the community, which will mainstream youth voice in national development as well as ensure contribution in achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
